Keeping to it

I find it nearly impossible to keep up with daily tasks from bed, so being sick can take quite the toll on things. Now I am trying to get back on task, luckily I have my Daily schedule! Looking at the past week I've missed a couple days of writing, Photoshop lessons, sketching and anatomy or Gaelic. Now I really need to get caught up. So what am I doing here!

Busy

I am 45% complete with the short story, then I will need to get it to someone to read it over and edit it for me. I can't wait to finish off this one so I can get back to Angel. She is waiting impatiently for me to move her along.

Research is a writer's best friend

I have been doing a lot of reasearch on how to get a publisher and get my book published. First step is to get my writing published on the smaller front, such as literary magazines and so that is what I am working on. I am writing a short (10,000 word) story to submit to Prick the Spindle. I currently have 2,734 words down. :)

Chapter 2

I have finished 2 pages in chapter 2 so far, started the wheels in motion for Aingeals transformation and have lots of notes as to what I want to write next. Last night before bed I had an inspiration for a great way to get things going and made myself a note, skipped breakfast this morning to write instead. Munched on some Multi Grain Pringles and drank my coffee with the Peppermint Mocha creamer in it while I wrote.

Chapter 1 Finished!

I have completed the first chapter of my book and it is 9 pages long (6,981 words). I have started working on the second paragraph but I keep getting sidetracked. Need to focus!

Aingeal (angel) is really starting to show her personality and her new boyfriend is going to play a big part in building her up physically for what she plans to become, even if he has no clue as to her alternate persona.

This project is becomming so real to me now that I finished the first chapter. When I first started writing it, I figured it would be one of those things I start but never finish, now however I am commited to finishing it. I am super stoked about this and sure hope I can find a publisher. If not I guess I start by self publishing it on Amazon.com since they offer it free to publish Kindle books there.

Exciting

I received a box in the mail today and I am SO excited! It was my order from Dick Blick Art Supplies! I picked up a 12" Hardwood Manikin and a Caslon Comic Book Creation Set. I so can't wait to play with my new supplies!

Busy Day

I decided to make myself a Daily Schedule with check boxes so that each day I can check off things as I complete them in the hopes I will stick to my Resolutions. At least for today I did, well except breakfast... Unless coffee counts as breakfast. ;)

Inspiration

Sometimes inspiration will come after a good night's sleep. I woke up with a great idea for my story. Made notes and now I know how Aingeal will get from point A-B since before I had her going from A-C! Oh and I introduced a new character.

Writing

I've found that trying to write a novel as a mother of three is quite difficult. Finding time to sit down and write can be nearly impossible so I end up making notes when inspiration arises and then when I have the time I work on writing the actual story. It's been about a week since I started and I have nearly finished the first chapter (4, 600 words so far) and Aingel is on her way home. I know that I will not become a famous writer, but all I hope is that there will be at least one or two people out there at really enjoy my book.

New Story

So I have started writing a new story, it's about a young woman whose life was turned upside down one night when she was attacked and tortured, it transforms her into the Angel of Revenge. I have completed the front and back covers and nearly completed chapter one of the book. Here's an image of the cover for it, minus the spine text.

Trying to catch up

So I am trying to get through all my wip projects. I sewed 2 of the holiday cross stitch patches on my youngest child's stocking, have one to sew on my middle child's and then I need to make more to catch up. I also have a couple other cross stitch projects to get done, a couple crochet projects and the scarf I am knitting for my daughter. So much to get done!

Thumb Jewelry

So at 8 my middle child is still sucking her thumb and we have literally tried everything out there for it. Finally I decided to make her some "jewelry" for her thumb. Hopefully it will be a good enough deterent.

Learning to Knit

I've finally finished the scarf I started knitting for my son last winter, it was my learn to knit project so it's not perfect... Actually there's a bunch of mistakes, but I did it!

Dice Pouch for Hubby

My husband recently started gaming again and has his dice in those plastic containers, you know the ones you buy them in, so I decided he needed a pouch for them instead. I crocheted this one up with Lion Wool in red and black.

Halloween Costume

For Halloween 2010 I went as Rachel Morgan, a character from the Hollows series by Kim Harrison. I sewed the top out of two layers of spanxed fabric with a metal ring in the back. I used velcro to attach the straps to the ring.

Fingerless Gloves

I needed some fingerless gloves for the winter so decided to crochet up a pair. Didn't use a pattern, just kinda made it up as I went along. Used Bernat Super Stripes yarn and a H hook.

Paintings - Acrylic on Canvas

So I have started painting. I needed an outlet and thought this would be perfect. These were all painted for my own personal outlet, but honestly if someone wanted to buy one I would sell it just so I can get more canvasses and paint more. LOL
