Late posting/busy morning

The kids and I watched Chicken Little this morning and I also worked on my new votive holder design and crocheted more of my mushroom. Here's what I hope to get accomplished today:

* Finish Mushroom
* Complete at least 5 rows on Kye's lapghan

Week's almost over

I know it's late to be doing this but I have been busy. Not going to get the pic of Mom's votive holders on here because she came by early to grab them. Pictures of the faeries to go up during nap.

Here's what I am doing today:
* Finishing up the hats
* Work on Kye's lapghan
* Make a crochet mushroom with a top that opens and a little mouse to go in it

Accomplished today

Well, I got the faeries done, cleaned up the livingroom, worked on Kye's blanket and got 2.5 hats done. Pretty good for working around 2 very mischevious children!

Wednesday Morning

Last night I got several rows done on Kye's lapghan and more painting on Mom's votives. I finished them up this morning and started a neat little project that will be a secret until it is done.

Today's List to do:
* Finish the Faeries
* Sew those darn hats
* Work on Kye's blanket
* Get to that shopping cart software

Tomorrow morning I will have pictures to share of Mom's votive holders, and a preview of the lapghan (it's at the 1/2 way point. I will also have pictures of Alicia's dolls to share and the hats if I get them done.

Half Done

I worked on Alicia's dolls, Kye's lapghan and signed up on a crochet forum. I also painted Mom's votive holders. Didn't get everything on my list done but hope to get more done tomorrow.

Back on track

Okay, having the dental work done has thrown me off kilter but now that I am fully recovered I plan to start regularly making my "to do" lists and follow-ups letting you all know if I kept to it. So here goes...

To do Today:
* Work on Alicia's Faeries
* Get a couple more rows done on Kye's Lapghan
* Sew hats for kids
* Start setting up my shop with the new cart software

Monday afternoon

Spent the weekend Re-arranging the dining/craft room. I expanded my daughter's corner a little and gave her some storage as she's following in Mommy's crafty footsteps.

I've been working on Kye's lap afghan as well.

Nearly done with the 2 faery dolls I am making for a friend of mine, they are looking so cute!

Sewing fleece hats for all the kids since I can make them for $3 a piece or buy them for $19 each. :-O

I think that's it...

Oh wait, I nearly forgot, I set up a page to sell my Birds, Bugs and Flowers Decals as well.

BUSY

Been exceptionally busy lately. Working on 3 faeries and crocheting my son's lap blanket. Also had another trip to the dentist. I also made some awesome peppermint fudge. Here's the recipe:

Peppermint Fudge

1 bag milk chocolate chips
1 cup Andes peppermint baking chips (plus extra for topping)
1 - 14oz can sweetened condensed milk
pinch of salt

Prepare 8" square pan with aluminum foil. Melt all ingredients in pot over low heat. Pour into baking pan and tap pan on counter to get bubbles out. Sprinkle with Andes peppermint baking chips. Cool in fridge for 2 hours then remove from aluminum foil and cut. Enjoy.

slacking

I know, I have been slacking in my posts but with the dental issues...

I am nearly done with my mermaid and will be starting my angel soon.

Ugh

My scroll is 100% complete. Will post a pic of it Monday.

Faery #2 has body and hair finished, but the wings are drying. Tomorrow I will finish putting her together and will post a pic when she is done.. My next 2 doll projects are an angel and a mermaid.

I also forgot to mention I started a cranberry cordial. Really looking foward to that.

Hump Day

Sorry about my lack of post yesterday. I broke a tooth and had to go in for emergency dental repair which turned into a root canal. Needless to say I did not get anything creative done.

Today I have finished lining the scroll and it is 3/4 finished being painted. I plan to finish it up at the beginning of nap and work on another faery for the rest of nap.

Monday afternoon

I finished my faery, here's some pictures of her: Top, Front, and Back.

I've also nearly finished outlining the scroll with black and will be (hopefully) finishing it tomorrow. Will post a pic of it after this weekend since I can't post it until after it is given to the recipient.

Chili is in the crock pot and has been simmering all day.

Last post before the weekend

Okay, so here's the results of lesson 2

I don't know if I will be able to make it until Monday to be able to work on it some more. :-(

I don't think I ever mentioned that I have an online store but I am slowly building it up. I hope to make a little extra money since we are a family of 5 living on a single income. Until my 2 youngest can go to school it would be cheaper for me to stay home with them.

Friday

The last day of the week, and the last day I will check in until next week. (I take weekends off.)

Didn't get to the scroll yesterday unfortunately but I did get 2 sets of body parts sewn and turned. Today I add the wires and stuff. Will share what they look like stuffed when I am done.

Well, have some cleaning to do so I will check in later.

Afternoon check-in

I've finished lesson 1 for my class and here's a pic of the bits. They are so very tiny.

Tomorrow I do the wire and stuff them. How exciting. :D

Class Starts Today!

So yesterday I nearly finished sketching the scroll. Today I will finish it and do the outlines. Then I can start painting it tomorrow. I also baked the bread, filled the decal and even finished racking my mead.

My class starts today!!! I have the lesson and patterns printed up and am ready to go! Today when I put the kids for nap I will start on my first lesson. This is so very exciting!

Hump Day

Goals for today:
* Finish drawing scroll.
* Fill Mom's cat decal.
* Make apple cinnamon granola bread.

Right now I am drinking some Blueberry coffee and trying to get warm since ot's only 68F in here, and 55F outside. Brrrrrrr Perhaps this is a good time to start that bread!

Wow

This blog thing really keeps me on track.

I did work on my scroll a little today and I finished the outline for the black cat. I also made some leaves for my faeries out of some really neat green organza and some green floral wire my Mom dropped off.

It's been too cold to do anything outside unfortunately so I have been neglecting the gardens. :(

Well, better go start dinner. Doing chili in the crock pot and it needs a couple hours to simmer.
